Backup and Security

Backing up refers to making copies of data so that these additional copies may be used to restore the original after a data loss event. The first is to restore a state following a disaster (called disaster recovery). The second is to restore small numbers of files after they have been accidentally deleted or corrupted. Data loss is also very common. 66% of internet users have suffered from serious data loss.

STOCK IT can provide two types of backing up:-

1. External Hard drive. Automatically backing up files and folders on a specific date and time to an external hard drive typically connected via USB 3 or Network connection located at the premises
2. Online / Offsite backup. Data is backed up via the internet to a remote location away from the local network. In the event of a disaster the data can be recovered/restored to its original location within hours. We use software that automatically backups daily/weekly or monthly and can be viewed via another PC / Laptop or via Tablets / Smart phones away from the office . A great way to view files and folders when you’re not in the office.

Security

Security is arguably the most important aspect of IT. We provide malware prevention, software firewalls, content control filtering (parental controls), e-mail spam filtering, and phishing protection.

All of which will help protect your PC \Server, data and networks from malicious viruses, attacks, threats and intrusions. We also provide both Desktop and Server versions of security software.
